Hike around the tre cime di lavaredo

Level: Easy/Intermediate

Duration: 4h

Distance: 8.6 km

Early in the morning, a private transfer (around 40 minutes) takes you to Rifugio Auronzo, the starting point for the circular trail around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (2,999 m), the iconic symbol of the UNESCO-listed Dolomites.

Along the route, the rock faces change colour with the shifting light, creating an ever-changing landscape where the three peaks seem to blend into one another in a fascinating play of perspective. The trail is also an open-air museum, featuring tunnels, bunkers, and old military barracks from the First World War.

The Tre Cime are a historic destination for mountaineers. Since the 1860s, they have drawn pioneers and explorers, captivated by their grandeur.

During the hike, you can stop at one of the three mountain huts along the way and enjoy a traditional Ampezzo-style lunch.

We recommend setting off early in the morning, as this is one of the most popular hikes in the area, especially during the high season.
