Snowshoeing at Cinque Torri Area
In the morning meet your local English speaking professional UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide for a trip briefing, orientation and to check the equipment for the day. Take a private transfer to the Lagazuoi Cinque Torri (Five Towers) area in the heart of the Eastern Dolomites, at the confluence of three valleys: the Ampezzo valley, Val Badia and upper Val Cordevole. Here, take the chairlift up through the forest to the impressive Cinque Torri boulders. This stage is of great interest for both the spectacular mountains around and the abundance of reminders of the terrible years of WWI, due to the vicinity of the former border between the long-dismantled Hapsburg Empire and Italy.
Complete a half circle of the Cinque Torri, or take the trail across the boulders. Your hike today will take you through WW1 trenches, with spectacular views over the Tofane and Lagazuoi massifs.
Enjoy the fantastic traditional cuisine, the local dishes and those of the Ampezzo area, and the beautiful views from the terrace of your lunch-stop Rifugio. Descend by chair-lift and take a private transfer to your hotel.

Snowshoeing at Tre Cime di Lavaredo
A superb snowshoe to the soaring Tre Cime di Lavaredo – the most famous landmark in all the Dolomites. The area is a sort of “open air museum,” as there are lots of reminders of the First World War – tunnels, bunkers, and old barracks. Tre Cime is also part of the world history of mountaineering – the first routes were climbed in the 1930s.
In the morning meet your local English speaking professional UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide for a trip briefing, orientation and to check the equipment for the day. Take a private transfer to Lake Antorno (30 min drive), and take a skidoo transfer to Rifugio Auronzo (2,332m / 7,650′) at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo peaks. Hike beneath the imposing south faces of the Tre Cime, admiring the spectacular rock spires and strangely formed needles of the Cadini mountain group to the south and the Croda Rossa to the west. Hike to Col di Mezzo (2,324m /7,625’), the highest point of today’s snowshoe hike. Begin your descent to Malga Rin Bianco for a delicious lunch of traditional dishes (not included) and make your way to Lago D’Antorno for your return transfer to Cortina.

Option to hike from Lago D’Antorno to Rifugio Auronzo, avoiding the skidoo transfer (additional 4km / 2,4 miles, 470m / 1,540’ ascent).

SKI TOURING
Ski touring at the foot of Croda da Lago (from Ponte Rucurto to Giau)
Take a private transfer to Ponte de Rucurto, and from here skin up to Rifugio Palmieri Croda da Lago (2,042m / 6,699′) where you can enjoy a rest and a light snack. Hold onto your energy levels, for the uphill is not over yet. From Lago Palmieri, ascend to Forcella Ambrizzola (2,277m/7,468’) and remove your skins for a brief descent to a lower plain. You will be immersed in the unspoiled valley at the foot of Croda da Lago, with its dramatic peaks, pinnacles and vertical rock-faces. You will need to put the skins back on and continue on a gentle uphill to Forcella Giau (2,360m/7,740’) with spectacular views over Mount Nuvolau (2,575m/8,446’). Option to summit Picco de Mondeval (2,504m/8,214’).
A final, exciting descent in powder snow from Forcella Giau will eventually lead you to the main road, where a private transfer will bring you back to Hotel De Len.
(11km/6,6miles, 825m/2,706’ ascent on skins, 521m/1,710’ descent. Mondeval summit: additional 1.5 hours, 2,2km/1,30miles, 164m/540’ ascent and descent).

Ski Touring at Cinque Torri area

Take a private transfer to the Lagazuoi Cinque Torri (Five Towers) area in the heart of the Eastern Dolomites, at the confluence of three valleys: the Ampezzo valley, Val Badia and upper Val Cordevole.
Here, begin your skin up through the forest and enter the impressive Cinque Torri boulder formation. Thanks to their infinite variety of shapes and sizes, the marvelous Cinque Torri are representative of the entire Dolomites. Although the towers can be admired from the center of Cortina, don’t be deceived by their unmistakable silhouette. The characteristic profile isn’t comprised of just five towers, but by a mass of secondary boulders, fractured towers and peaks sprinkled liberally across the entire area.Complete a half circle of the Cinque Torri, or take the more challenging trail across the boulders, and reach Rifugio Scoiattoli (2,255m / 7,398′). Enjoy a deliciouls lunch of traditional cuisine and the beautiful views from the terrace of the rifugio before your final descent on the slope to Bai de Dones, and take a transfer back to your hotel.

SKI On and Off-Piste
Ski area Tofana
Begin your ski day in the Tofane area. 30 pistes (6 black runs, 12 red runs, 13 blue runs and 6 green runs) with a total of 47km / 29,2 miles. From the beginners’ slopes of the lower area you can quickly reach the technically very demanding pistes such as the Canalone and the famous Schuss. The Freccia nel Cielo cable car takes you up to a height of 2,500m / 8,202′ to the Ra Valles area. If you take the Skitour Olympia route, you can venture onto the unforgettable peaks of the 1956 Olympic races, which today host the Women’s Skiing World Cup. There are 15 mountain refuges and restaurants in the area. Only for expert skiers, the black run Vertigine Bianca. For its beauty and steepness, it’s one of the two slopes in Cortina which are not beaten by the snowmobiles, given the possibility to skiers to engage in fresh snow on an eco-friendly and zero impact run.

SKI On and Off-Piste
Ski in the ski area of Sesto
In the morning, take a private transfer to Sesto/Sexten in the Val Pusteria, the easternmost valley of the South Tyrol. The Sesto Dolomites, the mountains towering above the valley, feature the Three Peaks Resort (Tre Cime / Drei Zinnen), the easternmost of the Dolomiti Superski areas. A real snow paradise awaits you here, with 115 kilometers (50.9 miles) of marvelous slopes and 31 lift facilities turning the breathtaking mountain world of the Alta Pusteria into a purely enjoyable experience for everybody. Demanding skiers can choose the Holzriese slope, Italy’s steepest prepared slope, and known as one of the steepest descents in the entire Alps chain. Strong skiers can also choose the Raut slope at Monte Elmo, one of the most beautiful red slopes (medium difficulty) in the Dolomites, with fast and driven curves. Don’t worry – there are plenty of easier slopes available for beginning, intermediate, and younger skiers!
While skiing is obviously the priority here, the natural wonders of the Alta Pusteria abound, and you’ll have fantastic vistas of magnificent Dolomite peaks as you ski, including Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Meridiana di Sesto, or Sesto Sundial) – the largest natural sundial in the world.

Ski Sellaronda
After breakfast private transfer to Alta Badia and head out on a fantastic ski tour that circumnavigates the Sella Massif! The Sellaronda Ski Tour is one of the most spectacular ski tours in the world. Considered somewhat of a “merry-go-round” for intermediate level skiers, this unique circular connection of lifts and runs links four Dolomite passes and four Ladin valleys. While today the Sellaronda is a modern-day carousel of lifts and descents for skiers (and hikers and mountain bikers in summer), before the dawn of modern machinery, this was the only route that the ancient inhabitants of the Ladin villages could use to maintain a connection with each other, on foot.
The Sellaronda takes you all the way around the imposing Sella Group (3,152m / 10,341′). In just one day, you’ll travel 26 kilometers (16 miles) of ski slopes; over four passes – Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella, Passo Gardena, and Passo Compolongo; through four valleys – Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa, and Arabba; in three provinces – South Tyrol, Trentino, and the Veneto. You’ll see more of the Dolomites in one day than many see on an entire trip!
For expert skiers, there are several options to add more challenging terrain to your tour.

Sledge Experience at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo
Fun sled descents from the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
